Birchbox is one of the monthly subscription boxes I return to time after time. The have products that I’m interested in and collaborations that keep the brand current and relevant to the UKs beauty market. So it was no surprise when I heard that birch box was coming to birmingham that I’d have to pop in and see what it was all about!
Birchbox originally started doing these build your own boxes in Selfridges Oxford Street last year, I loved this concept and was gutted they were not doing in all Selfridges. However due to the sheer popularity they have rolled out across 4 different Selfridges locations around the UK and shoppers everywhere have gone crazy over them!
You can find out a little more on Birchbox’s own site HERE.
The stand is located at the back of level 3 where Selfridges tends to display the current beauty promotions and was a little smaller than I would of liked however still had a great selection to choose from.
There are five samples for you to select and one Birchbox bonus which technically is a sixth sample. You can select two makeup items and one item from the other four categories, Skincare, Body Care, Haircare and the Beauty Treat.
I choose the Blink Eyebrow pencil, Laura Mercier Lip Glace, Oleheniksen brightening face wipes, Rituals foaming shower gel, living proof full thickening cream and the Travelmate sheet mask.
I’ll be honest, I brought two boxes, the selection was great and I wanted doubles of a few of the items for travel purposes so left a very happy bunny.
Since making my purchase (I did go and collect on Sunday when it first opened) Ive tried out everything. The hype goes out to the Blink Eyebrow pencil as was the exact shade for me (Indian Chocolate) and great sample size, but nothing to talk about that was disappointing. Hey you even get a code for 30% off your next Birchbox thats delivered!
